Yes, starter was installed on engine when bought. Gears come unlubed and the instruction sheet didn't mention the importance of greasing. Also no way to adjust backlash. After stripping the first gear, Mile High replaced it and told me what grease to use. The second gear also soon stripped. I removed the starter and ran the EME 55 without. Nice engine.

What is the brand of grease is recommended? Would wheel bearing grease work?

I have a starter on my EME 60 and it worked well for 2 years, but does not seem to have enough torque especially on the first start. Anyone try a 4 cell lipo?
