No flying here local club's field is under water. No building either, since Oct 2018 the wife and I have had 5 trips to the hospital. I think we should have naming rights to at least one floor. I go in Thursday for a stress test to determine the cause of my chest pains.

Hope the the best and a speedy recovery. I went over a month ago and was told I needed double hip replacement. I did the injections and they have helped but not a fix.

Cub Man, all the best with your hip repairs.

We've had several people here get those done and they've all bounced back in short order like spring chickens.

On with it, and we should all be welcoming you back to posting and flying soon.

Default Prayers for Cub Man

Hey Cub Man. Have you in thoughts and prayers. Hip replacement technology really good these days and generally very quick recovery. Hope you are back flying soon.

The good news is I hear hip replacement is a lot faster recovery than knee replacement! Which explains why I needed a knee and not a hip.

How did your window/door modification work out? I've just started building this Cubby, up to 2a in the build guide, when I decided to do this mod. On a 1/4 scale like this I'm surprised there isn't an option in the original build guide for it. So now I'm researching and wondering if you have any more pics of this mod.

So The left hip replacement went great. I have lost over 90% pain in my left knee contributed to my hip. Nov 6 I had my right one done and now fighting the pain and PT during recovery. I hop this will help me to be able to get back to flying like I did in the past.

Guys The Cub Den is in need of some help. Our 3-year renewal is coming up in December. It’s a little over $400 for 3 years of hosting. I can do a 1 year for much less but they offer a great price drop from 1 to 3 years. Guys I’m not able to flip the bill this time. If you want to keep this site going please go to the cub den. click the donate button and help us out. I have been using Godaddy for many years now, they have been very reliable.

See if you hadn't done all that slam dancing when you were young you wouldn't be in this pickle.

So this is the 1/4 x 3/8 spruce with the 1/8 music wire installed. The music wire is rough up and epoxied into the grove. Then I cap it with 1/8 x 3/8 spruce Alternate the joints between the two.

Default Cub thrust line issues

Hello all.
im currently building my first 1/4 scale Cub and have run into a snag. I want to use the Saito aluminum radial mount for the FA 120 inverted but the mount doesn’t fit on the firewall. The thrust line is too high to use it. Any thought? Thanks, Jay

Hello all, I'm in need of some help. I have a 1/4 Bulsa USA Cub, and the original gear is broken. I'm looking to upgrade, looking for a Robart Balsa landing gear 690B. If you have one in good shape, please let me know.

I inherited a GP Cub 60, partially built, a while ago and might work on finishing it up for a Winter Project. The original builder started building it as the Clipped Wing version.

I would like to copy a Full-Scale Clipped Wing Cub for the covering and was wondering if anyone here in Cub-land might have come across some interesting Clipped-Wing design finishing schemes other than the old Starbursts!

Thanks for anything you might be able to suggest...

Bob

White, with a red leading edge, the lightning bolt red instead of black and a red checkerboard rudder.

Thanks for the images. Is 1/8" music wire the way to go for the Sig 1/4 scale Cub, or use the 5/32" wire as stated on the Cub Den site?

For my 1/4 J3 I went with the 5/32 wire/ I have never had an issue with it. on my L4 I went with 1/8 wire and also no issues with it. Any plane if you crash it hard enough it will be destroyed. I have had a few rough hits that without the wire I would have been rebuilding the cabin

Would it work to open a Facebook presence so you could keep it around with having to have a full blown site?
