Is it possible tyo confirm exactly what is included in the standard kit for the £550 ish

Airframe-epoxy fuselage and canopy, Wood trays and install assists. Wood/film booms, tail and wings. Sealed retract bays in fuselage, with smooth finish to avoid mud pockets, control linkages, carbon wing spar.
Kit does not include a Fuel Tank or Gear. There are no bags. The Ripmax gear is designed for this, other units will fit, but the main legs will require work as they are short and angles maybe different.
Legs are socket type and not pins.

Was good to me you too, should be a fast build, I'm hoping for the promised late summer in England, so lots of flying still to be had!
Can't wait to get one of my own so I can set it up more my way, no CROW was possible on the model I borrowed from Ripmax-that is an addition which will aid even slower flight. Still blown away how well it goes on 13lb of thrust!

Short video taken today at our club site. First landing is fast as the camera man asked me to land early because of cramp in his arm! This cleared on landing so I did another circuit with a slower landing...then the camera man had a go (think it was his ploy all along!) and flew another 4 minutes before I landed again...much slower. The tank is around 2.8 ltrs and the difference on take off and landing is quite marked with the added weight. I'm sure with CROW it will crawl in

Nice flight Dave and she seems to handle very well especially with(just?) a P60 for huff, looking forward to getting mine.

Have a look at an AD Diamond, now that's pointy! No I think the proportions on this are quite nice.

More I fly it more I like it, performance is amazing on a P-60 with that much fuel on board. I was going to put a P-100RX in mine, but more I fly it the more I think a P-60SE will be great. I know three of the kits we have pre sold are having P-60's. Much purer than the box I had before, its going to be a good sports jet and perfect introduction model.
Ripmax need to get on the second batch ASAP.

Agreed, I was intending to put a P100 in the one I'm getting but changed my mind when I saw it going round at Jetpower. A quick guess calc says that the 100 is around 300 grms heavier which will need to be balanced out at the other end and from my view it goes well enough without the extra power but more importantly payload. Just waiting for Ripmax to get their finger out .

Weight difference would not be that great, but small turbine shows the quality.

Not Ripmax's fault, the container ship had a problem and had to dock. They expect it this week, so not long now!

No sure if anyone was videoing today, but Ali flew this model today too and even with the set up not suiting his preferences, he agreed its very good. Lots of comments from people there and each time I flew it smiling faces said it was impressive for a P-60 powered model of the size. Couple of people compared it to its main opposition and both myself and Ali said it was a big step better!

I can see that the retracts for this plane look very nice however I feel that it would be nice to fit an electric set. Does anyone know of an electric set that might do the job

Try Lado they are good and will make you a set to suit, nice guys too.

Electric retracts are proving less reliable than air...so it was decided to stick with that. But the prototype before this one we put Behotec C-36-2 units in, so a range of gear will work. Only thing is main legs are quite short (107mm) and as yet they are not listed as a spare.they use sockets, not pins. This supplied gear holds air for a week and I get two flights to a fill easily, as twin tanks give good volume.

There is quite a lot to be said for using dedicated retracts, don't ask me how I know that.

I have an aging Boomer Intro with spring air retracts which work well but are only wire legs. I am thinking of taking all the gear out of the boomer and putting in this plane. Think it might work. Also do you know the volumne of the fuel tank. I have a wren full Auto in my old boomer.

Thanks to Dave for a flight on the Ripmax Excalibur. Having flight tested and developed every single one of the Boomerang range, I have a little bit of experience on the twin boom types, and can genuinely say that what Ripmax have here is a really decent, well behaved yet fun to fly model. I look forward to getting my review model some time soon!

I was very impressed with the flying appearance of the model yesterday, it was flown very well and looks better in the flesh. build quality looks very good too.
