I would say it probably flies a lot like this jet (the original) http://www.laser-design-services.com/jetmach60.html . Like Barry stated, look into the history of the plane and then decide if you would buy anything from that company.

I received 2 TBM Shock Jets today. One was for me and the other for a friend. We were both pleasantly surprised with the quality of the build on both jets. One was the Tsunami scheme and the other the Tiger scheme. The laser cutting is superb, the covering is good and the fit of pieces is flawless. The plane comes with all surfaces pre-hinged. Assembly should be a breeze. I can't wait to get to work on it and see how it flies. I have no doubt it will be a fun trainer and a fun plane to just beat around with. Ignore all the accusations of the past and look at the plane for what it is. The price is too good to pass up if you need a fun jet! I feel TBM and MF Models have put a lot of effort into making this an easy jet to get some training on.

Sorry Jimmy Baby, you just a little too new as a moderator, delete this if you want but I have NO respect for your opinion as Mr. Moderator on this one! TBM nstole a design from a couple of good guys in Texas and claim it as their own. Bad Karma there!

I flew one at Lake Wales last year and it was a hoot! It was Super Bee powered and had a ground roll of about 2 foot before airborne. Fully aerobatic, stable as a picnic table and lands slower than a butterfly.
All in all...pretty neat.

Are we really going to bend over to this? This jet wouldn't be in existence if it were not for the likes of Limey Bob and crew. So were to secede to the powers that be? This is not the RCU of yesteryear...I'm ashamed that people cant tell it like it is here anymore, what are we..lemmings?

Hi All, I received my Shockjet yesterday (From my friend who ordered it for me) and all I can say is WOW, what a great job they seem to have done on getting this to the stage they sell it at. Hatches fit perfectly with the spring loaded latched already installed. Only 1 wrinkle in the covering that I have seen and that is maybe an inch by a quarter inch. Nothing!!
I'm putting in a JetCat P60. Only minor modifications and it flips right on in!
I picked it up at 2pm yesterday from my friend and by 4pm I had the wings glued and the 4 wing servo's mounted, the tail feathers are on!
The P60 and some tubes were installed this morning. This is going to be a really quick plane to put together and looks to be a great flyer to!

The wing comes in 2 halves. The wing is glued together with the main wing joiner being about 12 inches or so in length. To my way of thinking I don't think that a joiner that short will have the strength to hold the wing without glueing the halves together. It may be strong enough without glueing but I think I'd stay with glueing the wings together. (Again, my thoughts and observations and I may be totally wrong.)
The front of the Turbine is under the wing. The air inlets are either side of the fuel tank. Looking at mine with the tank installed there appears to be about 1/4 to 1/2 inch clearance that you may be able to insert some kind of starting wand to the front of the turbine. The angle would be 30 degrees off of dead straight.
