I think (hope) Joe is still with us...but I believe someone else is kitting his designs?

About the wrist pin...IIRC, I think there are (or are supposed to be ) Brass wear pads that look like eyelets, pushed into the pin holes?

Might be a different engine that I'm thinking of, but...

The engine on the left is a McCoy...probably from sometime in the early to mid 60's? My guess on the Fox .29 would be '70's era? I have a Fox .35 that I bought new in the mid 70's that looks like...

I'd say to have a look around at other manuf. engines and get a different style pin retainer. Webras use the wire "e" clip for example.

Just run it a little rich, and go with either the 12 x 6 or an 11 x 7 or 11 X 7.5 (or maybe the 11 x 8 after it's run-in some more )

The early Eagle is a decent, torquey...

I only have one old Eagle...and IIRC it took quite a while to really come in nicely...it currently sits in it's box, waiting for another airplane :)

I have a sand cast .29 w/ 4 head bolts...late 40's vintage maybe?
3, .35 stunt
2, .29's (newer ones )
and R/C I have a .15 sch. and old .25
