that liner needs to rotate to the right 90 degrees. The the exhaust port in the sleeve is in the rear port in the cylinder jacket.

13800 RPM tached on the ground. It would have improved significantly in the air. Something may have been wrong though. My Fox .40 BB schneurle got 14,500 on a 10X6 MAS on 10% Nitromethane.:D

Fox engines Never had chrome plated crank cases, they were tumble polished. Later Hawks were glass bead blasted.

Wether these engines are run as glow or diesel, they're serious ground pounders. I think they are one of the more powerful .45's out there.:D

The piston pin is held in place by a roll pin. My Fox .15 Schneurle has the port spot milled like this too and it is intentional in design.

It has a phospher bronze (660) bushing on the lower end. That is why the engine requires 16:1 mix.

Easy, take a ball end mill and outline the exhaust opening on the flange and it will give a holding area for the sealer to prevent squeeze out.

I figured it out, The larger ID crank case allowed for a beefier rod lower end so they could bush it. I can see the difference now.

Hello Earl, Sharon said that the rings for the late model Eagles will fit the Eagle MK1 I just have to adjust the ring gap and ensure that it is at least 1.5 thou to avoid seizing during a hot run....

Yes I know, and they're only $7 and change compared to F' bowman's for $9. I know Frank's are far superior, but I have Scottish in my blood:D Sharon Shawkey at Fox has been an awesome help.

I know, The Eagle 1 engines usually had real tough looking rods in them. This Eagle I have is NIB. The Rod is OEM because it has the trademark slot oil groove in it that Duke put on his .40 Schneurle...
