Hi guys just picked up an almost new Fox 78 very little run time can anyone give some pointers on props, plugs and fuel? would like to see how this baby runs....but dont want to hurt...

Yes !! almost forgot about the klotz benol...have used that for years in my giant scale engines and 1/5 scale rc cars

Well...Ive always used SIG AA.......But Bakers Degummed Ive heard is very good....I think any refined and degummed is probably good;)

Thanks....The engine I have I believe is broken in...and yes I too also believe in castor...I use Byron 10% fuel it is a castor blend but I always add more castor to it for this type of engine.....

Thanks....Great info...I was thinking mabe a 13x6 wood would do the job for me....I do have other idlebar plugs...I think they are FOX plugs... Just have a bunch of the old glowbees ...just thought I...

Ok....Thanks...also whats agood prop range for this model 78?....Globee idle bar plug OK?? Really great info in Dukes engines here!:D

Not sure though about the carb..does the barrel move in and out on the MKX C carb?...it does on this one.....also whats a good prop range for this model 78?.....Some REALLY good info on Dukes...

OK thats it!! the last picture with the red carpet..thats the exact style I have....although someone ground off the tabs on the block for the muffler?? dont know why though Thanks again to...

Wellllll.....The muffler has tabs on it..exhaust port is rectangular NOT drilled for the baffle...The carb is a two needle rotary drum style..back plate is polished?? for some reason....not sure...

Well it appears to be the same one as pictured by earlwb, Does have the slant plug..just one..two needle carb...but does have a genuine FOX muffler...darn!!! wish my digital cam was working...also...
