RE: Club FOX!

Nice looking Tiger, Earl!

The muffler on my .50 is a J'Tec Snuffler. Had to go to that when the AMA was pushing the "90 @ 9" thing. All my other engines were fine but that .50 just screamed with...

RE: Club FOX!

What prop sizes are appropriate for the .19? Looked it over and it seems to be in good shape. Gummed up with old castor but nothing a bit of scrubbing won't fix. Bearings are stiff but have no...

RE: Club FOX!

My .25 is the bushed version. Bought it because it was dirt cheap at the time. The club I was in had decided to use a certain inexpensive trainer for a club fun fly plane. It was rated or .25 to .40...

RE: Club FOX!

Using a 11x6 Zinger. Seems to do really well with that prop. I also have some MA 11x6 props but don't like those as much as the Zinger.

RE: Club FOX!

Made it out to the field this morning. Initial flight the engine ran a little rough. Tweaked the high speed needle a bit and all was good. Managed three flights all told, and by the end of the third...

RE: Club FOX!

When I got my engines from storage at my dad's house in 2006 I took them apart nd gave them a thorough cleaning. Worst part was getting all the gummed and hardened castor out. Once clean they were...

RE: Club FOX!

LOL yep, that's exactly what the side of my Tiger looked like after a tank of fuel. I had forgotten just how much fun cleaning up after could be. Still, nothing can replace the smell of burned...

RE: Club FOX!

For the first time in 20 years my Fox .50BBRC came to life today! All it took was a new glow plug, fresh fuel (Byron's 10%, 2 oz. Sig castor added to 1/2 gallon) and a hit from my starter and off she...

RE: Club FOX!

I used a Jtec Snuffler (http://www.jtecrc.com/snufflermufflers.htm) on my .50 and it works great. Cut the noise level significantly without losing too much on the top end. Replaces the after part of...

RE: Club FOX!

Back when our club had to start enforcing noise level rules I put a J'Tec Snuffler on my .50 and it made a world of difference. Most noticeable noise source went from the engine note to the prop...

RE: Club FOX!

I have a Snuffler on my .50 because of noise issues at a club field from 20 years ago. Does wonders to quiet it down and didn't affect power one bit. Most of the noise is now from the prop.

RE: Club FOX!

A gas .50 is very, very interesting indeed. Just the thing for those of us with limited budgets, although the price for the engine is a bit steep. I love my Fox engines, but man oh man I wish the...

Looks like it's the same ring as the Eagle IV .60, so I may be in luck. Will have to see what Fox says.
