Been flying mine for 3 seasons now with a DLE-111 and fly it hard, did no reinforcing of the tail and its been just fine.

I’ve got a dle-111 which is 6.26 lbs. I have nose weight in mine and thats with batteries as far forward in the fuse as possible. Something is not right, no way you need 8lbs in...

That holds the two posts in that the tank mounts too. You should have two brackets that screw to the tank and bolt to those posts.
