ORIGINAL: Harley Condra

Mark's catalog states that the retracts are 1/4 scale 90° rotating, but no mention of the manufacturer.
I've scanned it, and e-mailed it from my wife's computer to mine....it has to go through the provider's server, and has not arrived yet. If the file is too large, I'll break it up and re-do it.
I'll get it on this thread today.

Harley,
i'm 99.99% sure matrix made the Jetmart / DCU F-14 landing gear. So if assumptions are correct, they probly made the A-6 gear as well for jetmart / dcu.... Does anyone know who bought the A6 that was listed here for sale a month or so ago? I remember the ad mentioning something about selling all the tooling mods and some partial projects as well.. Maybe who-ever got all that stuff would chime in with some parts.
Yes Thomas,

Matrix makes the F-14 gear also along with the A-6.

The A-6 that was sold along with all the tooling was my A-6 that was being built for me. Ronnie has decided to get out of the jet business altogether and is trying to sell ALL the tooling he has.

If i had the money, i'd love to pick up the F-14 tooling from him.. but alas no luck...

Mark sold all his molds and no longer does glass work for models, other than my A-10, (at least that is what he told me!). He sure does some neat stuff tho. I visit his shop every time I'm in Dallas just to see what's new and exciting in there.

I heard that someone bought the molds and the partially built one from JetMartUSA on here (RCU) a few weeks ago. Ronnie might would tell you who purchased them if you need some extra parts. I don't remember if it had gear in it or not. Nice project though.

You might call Larry Wolfe also- Mark used to do glass work for him before he moved to Texas. Scotty

I still have one of the first DCU F-14's hanging from my shop ceiling in primer. Hope to install a couple of 120 mm EDF's sometime in the future.

You need to just send that hulk to that ol boy that is building the B1B molds-The way he works two weeks later you would have a nice new mold and fuselage.

Barry, I'm pretty sure that your fuselage is made of epoxy. It didn't smell like Polyester at all.

I thought I recalled Ken williams of www.kamodels.com telling me that he made some A-6 models for that movie as well. Maybe he made some smaller ones.

I AM THIE RICHARD BOOTH YOU FOLKS WERE WONDERING ABOUT. I INVENTED THE METHOD BY WHICH WE COULD FLY RC PLANES SO THEY LOOKED FULL SIZE ON FILM. I WAS THE OWNER OF EAGLERY, THE SPECIAL EFFECTS COMPANY THAT BUILT THE MODELS AND MADE THE MOVIE "FLIGHT OF THE INTRUDER". NOW THAT BARRY HAS STEERED ME TO THIS SITE I WOULD LOVE TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS REGARDING THE BUILDING OF THE INTRUDER MODELS AND THE FILMING OF THE MOVIE. R.

i am not eriving cabs, but after making 3 more feature movies, and a number of commercials and music videos with our method of filming models, computer grafics did drive me into another profession. as it happerns, i have had a lifetime of boating experience, and ran a yacht instruction business until retirement. thanks for asking. richard.

At the risk of repeating, Malcom Kay bought the flying model that survived the movie scenes. I have some video some where of the test flights for the movie. It was quite special at the time. Ron

Hi, I’m still here. Malcolm passed away recently recently and contact has been lost. I gave my entire video library away a while back. Ron.8
