I have been a bigger fan of what I call the 'classic series' of Saito's. The 45, 50, 56. 65. 80, 91S, and 120S. I do not currently own a 100, 115, or 125. I could have a 125 if I had the money for...

Unsure why I chose that particular prop for that run other than it was one listed in the manual. Sadly that Saito FA-100 video is the only one I have on my channel. Oddly enough the 100 is the one...

I would say in theory the PDP is supposed to be more powerful, but I cannot say for sure. The word 'powerful' is not very descriptive. It is an old design and slightly more 'modern' ABC 61 two...

I forgot mention in the other post that I also pulled the Saito 56 out. Did you want that compared to the a56 with a 12x6 or 13x6 prop Dave? And what fuels? Trying to get this done after work each...

That is very nice. I have a NIB FA-90T coming me next week to compliment the 80T I have. I just love running the engine! It is one of the best hand starting engines I have ever had. Once primed...

My settings on the test stand never require changing once in the airplane, but I NEVER have an inverted mounting anymore. Been there, done that, did not enjoy.

No, I do not have a Saito 125. I actually love my Enya's and still have 4. AS far as the Saito's go, I usually run what I call the 'Classic' series of engines. I have the 45S, 45 MKII, 56, 65,...

I have been on a roll this month. I was fortunate enough to find a NIB FA-90T MKII. It should be arriving next week. The great thing is that many of the parts are interchangeable with my 80T. ...

I think the biggest differences between the 80T and 90T are the heads and power output. The 80T still has the 2 piece heads. In a way I am glad for that now as I was wanting to assess approximately...

Maybe I should run the 14x6 first to see what readings I get. The manual states 10,000 RPM is absolute max. I would be happy with the power output of the 80 single, although the last Hog Bipe I had...

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

It definitely was not. When the ASP engines came out in the early 90's the boxes said that ASP stood for Acceleration, Speed, Performance.

Once I actually recieve this I should be better able to tell the date. But I do think you are incorrect about the 45S continuing into the late 90's. I have owned Saitos for a long...

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

I had to share this with this club. I just scored a gem!!! A NIB Saito FA-45S. This is a pretty old engine, I estimate 15+ years. It predates the old black and gold boxes. This box was blue and...
