RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

This is how I did it. I used a large servo arm, and bolted it to the engine mount.
Fairly simple, and works great.

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

"Please note that detonation and preignition are not the same thing -preignition is almost harmless, detonation can destroy your engine."

I have to disagree. Engine failure analysis is my...

I am told that the most efficient propeller would be a one blade, but they are rather difficult to balance ;~)
I currently have one on my Cub, right after it hit the ground!

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

Well, you see there is a ground clearence problem with the proper size 2 blade, and if you buy the RTF version, it comes with a 2 stroke and a 3 blade. I have also been told that they use the 3 blade...

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

My Cub took a cartwheel, and when I started to repair, I found more damage than I want to deal with. I just ordered an Arrow 40 trainer with the idea of putting my 72 on it. I can't find any info on...

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

HDB,
I flew a Goldberg cub with floats for a year on a Saito 50. It had plenty of power, would loop and roll, and do everthing that could be expected. I now have a 72 on that airplane, and it is...

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

I have been looking at a couple of twin engine aircraft. It is normal for full size aircraft to have counter rotating engines. Is there such a thing for RC aircraft?

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

The last fuel I bought is Wildcat 15% Nitro, 18% total oil (80% Synthetic, 20% Degummed racing castor). My question is..... Is this a good fuel to use in all my Saito engines (FA72, FA1.20 air bleed,...

RE: [Awaiting Approval]

Thanks for the suggestions.
I decided to just use a servo arm, drill & tap a hole in the side of the mount and set it up as in the photo. Hope it works OK.
