A friend has a 90TS...
We were talking about it today...one cyl. runs richer than the other...(there is a noticable diff. in temp between the two cyls. as well...as one could expect )

O.F.... I believe it...the glow version of the 2.20/36cc Saito has gotta be lighter w/o all that ignition equipment, huh?
What size prop are you running or going to run on the 2.20?

You might be able to make or buy a taller landing gear? There are manuf. that make specialty landing...

You might need to heat it up just a bit more too...I use a propane torch. You don't need a big flame though, about 1-2" long and heat the prop driver until your spit slicked finger sizzles when you...

I think he had the lash set so tight that the valves we not seating completely and there was a loss of compression?

Some Saito cams have a clearance ramp before the actual lobe, and that takes...

A friend and I tached his 1.80 with an APC 18 x 6W yesterday @ around 8,500-8,600 on 15% Powermaster. That's about as big a prop as I would feel comfortable with on the 1.80

Not sure which prop...

While we're on the subject of cylinders...I'll just add one or two more tidbits about that new 1.25 jug that I installed on my friends engine. It appears to be quite a bit larger, but is only 4 grams...

That looks like the new one that my friend gave me to use as the replacment...the tag sez SAI125a01A (not the GK version though )
It has an increased fin area...and makes the engine...

I offered to do so for a friend, and he brought over the engine and parts...and as I compare the new cyl. to the old, I see that the new replacment...

If the ring is not pinned, and is free to rotate around the piston, then it doesn't matter where the gap is...it (the ring) will find it's own home (so to speak ) or, if the cylinder is perfectly...

The sleeve is cast right into the cylinder so no, it definitely should not be loose...

AFAIK the S stands for "Special" and I think it was basically a higher lift cam? (I'll let some of the...

Hi Larry,
The only prop you have listed there that comes anywhere close to the torque peak r.p.m. is the 15X7 (3 blade?)

Personally, I would prefer to prop it for somewhere in-between the...

I think Bill (Robison ) mentioned that not all Saitos had the quietening ramps...and the ones that do, need to have a little more lash...like closer to the big end...

RC Specialties reminded me of my days at A&P school..
As a 2nd phase project in Mr. Hamm's "primary engines" class we had to make a feeler guage for one of the big radial engines...it was .187"...
