RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

Iron Cross, I read your recent post about putting a 13 x 6 on the .56. I am flying the same engine and fuel, with 12 x 4 and 12 x 5, I thought the 13 x 6 would be too much, and it was! I put one on...

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

Ernie, solafein, from memory, Viton can go to 220*, which is 30-40* higher than the alternatives. Resists a wider range of chemicals, too. Should be good enough for our babies!

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

Ernie,

I put this on a .56F, I also have a 1.00 but the carb throat is 8.5mm and the stack is only 8.0mm so no go. I believe the carb on the .82 is the same configuration as the .56 so the stack...

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

bldrums,

Viton is the material the 'O' ring is made with, it's a shiney black rubbery plastic. This is a normal 'O' ring designed for use in hydraulics etc., I bought it at a shop that...

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

More on stacks..... like we need it!

Anyhow, I just put a stack on my .56, fitted perfectly, holes and all. I used an 'O' ring to seal the gap, 8mm I.D. x 1.5mm thick, made of Viton. Makes a...

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

Bill,

This list will come from Hobby Shack in Singapore, my local Saito stockist. I don't believe they carry the Bru-Line filters. I figured I'd check some specialist filter suppliers around...

Cheers from the Barfly.

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

IronCross, are you still around here?

Looking back to your post #483 you mentioned that the stack for a .72 fits a .56. I can see they both have the same style carb but I cannot identify the...

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

Thanks Bill, and Jim,

I'll look into it (literally).

I'm sorry to be asking about stuff that you've been over before, but this has become a sizeable thread and I can't read it all in one...

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

Guys, How much crankshaft end float should there be? My 56F has ~.010". Only about 8 tanks through since I installed new stock bearings and crank, I thought it was tight, but not now.

Cheers...

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

Thanks evansh, I'm very familiar with Hobby Shack, been there many times. I'll shoot off an order as soon as get my ducks in a row. I'll be in Sg. in a couple weeks, maybe can pick up in person.

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

Shucks Bill, I feel silly for not seeing that. I think I need to change it on both my engines, the needle just falls through. Thanks for the pic.

Cheers from the Barfly.

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

Guys, how is the main needle sealed against fuel leakage? I can't see an 'O' ring in there, or anything else. Simply close tolerance, maybe?

Cheers from the Barfly.

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

Thanks Bill,

I'll check out that kit. I may have found my problem though, loose carb fuel inlet nipple and a tiny piece of crap inside the spray bar. I'll give it a new plug too, and see how it...

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

Thanks Jim,

The one I have is the only one I've ever seen. I bent the spray bay slightly, straightened it and now having trouble tuning it. Dunno if the spray bar is the cause, or something...

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

Guys,

Can anyone tell me what is the difference between a FA56 and a FA56F, the 'Fun Fly' version with the red anodized thrust washer.

Cheers from the Barfly.
