Slow flight and crawling around the pattern are fine. The approach speed is noticeably higher, but that's a relative thing with a SJ. Landing speed is still lower than a lot of sport-type prop jobs....

I don't think ANY fod-screen will fit without surgery unless you mount the turbine so far aft as to cause CG issues. The TBM 101 oz. tank requires minor surgery also, but it's strictly an out-patient...
