I don't know why but I saw this comic and immediately thought of O.F> and the Pope.

Yes sir, I already put one on the FG 11, it's a no brainer, you just plug it in and use the Saito Hall effect sensor.

Rowdog they cost more than chump change to buy,but man what a sound and worth far more than the bucks when you hear that mustang go past, specially if you throttle off a bit have to have ice in your veins to ignore that...wish saito would hook two 220's up.If they made a 250 inline i think my dog would have to dig a bigger hole to bury it.

Dave hows the fg11 going? sounds great that the ch ignition is so easy to plug and play.Is there a reason you are doing that, was it to play with the timing and for what reasons cheers mate

popo can you break this gently to acdc,i do ride round the outside of harleys in a dress on the duke, specially sunday mornings..it infuriates them

Pete, when a product gains my loyalty, I stick with it, I bought my first C&H Ignition in 1997 and I still have it. It had a small module that plugged in between the box and the Hall Effect sensor to make it Synchro Spark.

Nah, a tall wall with a moat and surrounded by a mine field should do it.

Guns make you feel safe, especially if you know how to use one.

Has anyone gone thru the work of putting a metal backplate on their FA-82a, or does it look like most people leaving the plastic one in place? I'm wondering about mine. I have a spare metal backplate and the correct screws for my old .72 but I don't know when that will have a plane to fly in. Just wondering whether it's worth the effort.

When you consider location and purpose of a backplate I don't see a gain in replacing it just a weight increase. Now if you needed a little weight in the nose to balance I would say go for it.

Guys another question, so when running the 200ti is runs smooth as butter for about 5-10 min then I hear an unusual rubbing noise coming from what sounds like the front bearing. When I turn by hand I hear a clicking which from my search of this forum is normal, but for some reason the clicking sound like it is coming from the front bearing and not the cam. When I spin the prop it is smooth and I do not feel any grittiness.Thoughts???

I am still running 4.5 on the high needle.

How safe do they make u feel when there pointing at u ?
As for the backplate I did convert my older 82, just cause . The 72 needed it but not the 82 .

Row, 4.5 turns out from fully closed is pretty far out for a Saito, is it peaked at that setting? The clicking is normal and is caused by the cam accelerating forward when one of the cam followers goes over the hump and pushes the cam in lieu of being pushed/lifted by the cam.

I just did a little research and now see that the 200 ti has a remote needle that may not set the same as the carb mounted needle.

No it is not peaked, and I had a saito 100 long back and I remember the clicking and just needed reassurance by searching again, but seems it is coming from the bearing, but the bearing feels smooth. So I am guessing I am good. If I keep hearing that weird noise I will send out.

Yeah i was wondering about that too.Sometimes if you hear that 'rubbing' noise in flight it might be bearings.Rowdog lightly grip the prop tips and rock the prop back and forth, can you feel or hear any movement?

Barry if i remember right you fitted a steel backplate to you 72 because it was sucking air at the upper intake tube where it meets the head? the three 82's i have with the plastic backplate have given no trouble over the years tuning wise one of them has a couple of hundred hours flight time.

popo imagine you are all tucked up in bed and the fairy godmother is perched on the bedside reading you a goodnight story while waving her magic wand..a girlfriend has found me a flouro pink half see through skimpy tu tu dress to wear on 'any sunday' (i'm not allowed to wear any undergarments) while carving up those slow harley riders in the hills. She says it may give them all a sudden attack of limp ***** syndrome but i'm not sure what that means.
