Lol, that's my next project. I have a partially built kit that was given to me, and one of the things I want to do is lengthen the fuselage by at least 2 inches. That is going to take some deep thinking as the fuselage was built when I got it. My other one is also a kit that is my beater plane. It was crashed about 8 times before I crashed it twice and had a go fast midair with another SSE. We both landed ok, but he had a lot more damage. The last crash was the worst. I forgot to extend my antenna and lost it on landing. It broke in half in front of the wing tube. It was repaired and is squared up, and flies like it always did.

The SSE kit is easy to bash. The first think I do is cut the front fuselage formers so they are flat on top and I use a piece of balsa for the top from the firewall to the turtleneck. No more fuel tanks that require hacking them out when they start wearing out. I've used the SSE as a trainer to teach some students how to fly. It is a great trainer without any mods.

I have large tip plates on mine and it will almost hover before both wings stalling when landing. I have a good FA-72 waiting for a plane and maybe that lengthened SSE will be the one.

It looks like they estimate it to start and then after they fine tune the setup add a new mark?

Andy it was a remark made in jest to gary who sure knows his saito engines and has my respect.Nobody wins a shootout at the ok coral here.Do you have a nice picture of your saito fg90 powered corsair,it would be nice to see.Of course if you are a limp wristed pilot please don't post a vid.

There's been a lot of gasoline thrown on the fire lately so its hard to tell snide from fun lately so I just took it as face value w/o knowing all the personalities.

The Corsair is in the shop for an air problem in the retracts, soon as I get that sorted I'll get some pics and a video up.

Thanks Jessie I'll take the lot. Anything I can't use my buddy Les can. He is 78 and still uses some 72 mHz also. He just loss his 34 year old son from what we think was cardiac arrest. The poor guy was talking with someone and just dropped. Les is still in shock! I'm thinking I need to get him out and about and a little flying should be just the ticket.

I wish I could think of something. The funeral is at 1:00 PM today so you know I'm going. They had the viewing yesterday so I went by and signed the book. How do you get over something like this? You never expect to out live your kids. His son was all he had left as family. I have known Les for 43 years, he mentored me in R/C. We both share a love of R/C 2 cycle glow engines. All I know to do is just be there for him and pray he can get a handle on it and find a way to go on living. In a way I think Les is still in shock and in denial. Here is what happened according to the news a couple of details are wrong. We are waiting on the coroner's report to come back.

I'm sorry to hear about your friend, I have a son, he's been married 1 year this month, I could not even guess what I would do or feel,,, if,,,,

my older brother died at 17, he was the rebel of my family, he didn't know how to drive, yet he took my mother's car one night when she and my father was gone with friends, in short there was snow on the ground and he hit a tree, that was way back in 1973,, all those years, I still miss him and feel a loss when I think of him

My aunt was 61 years old when she passed. Grandma lasted another few years but she never got over out living her oldest daughter even after losing her youngest at 3.

At the top if you go to User CP then EDIT OPTIONS, and scroll down, it will allow you to set the default behavior for subscribing to threads, mine is set to DAILY which means i automatically subscribe to any thread I post in AND get a daily email for new activity.

My late wife was 31 when she passed. It's been some 20+ years now, but her parents were in shock. We all kind of broke away from each other after that, but I needed a big kick to get me going again. I felt real bad for them though. She was kind of their favorite because she almost died in high school, so they elevated her a bit over her brother and sister. I still remember what they went through. Just telling you this since he is your friend. He is really going through a long process and there's nothing for the hurt.

I made some .005" shims for my 1.30 Saito twin just two days ago. Should make a big difference where I like it.

can you guys help me out with this problem (click my link), so in short I need to plug holes with dowels and then re-drill new holes for mounting a Retract, should I use CA or Epoxy, I would like to use J&B because it's tougher/ not so brittle, but wonder if the J&B will still film well between the two woods when I push the dowels in,
if you have better ideas than using dowels that will be welcomed and helpful too !
