Hey Pete,
no way, no Sir,, I mounted the FA100 single to the Mustang's engine wall and no way will the engine fit inside, I would have to cut a hole in the side of the cowl the size of the head to fit it, even then I would have to elongation the hole ""forward"" by 3/4 inch or more to get the cowl around the rocker covers and head, geezz that's disappointing

Yeh gary the deccy is a seagull kit i use the blackhorse ones too.Both are incredibly strong and durable.Towards the end of the flight it has unlimited vertical on an apc 14x6 pattern prop.I like your ally tube breather pipe,not so sure about your muffler...did you say it was a modified saito?
Jim if your midget has a longer wingspan than mine (and it does) you would think the cowl would be at least as wide,the pic of the yellow world models mustang dave posted is very pretty,pity your never going to beat the emu's

Here I was trying to give the 115 credit for being fast enough to wear the paint off like an airliner and you didn't bite, you're slippin my friend.
I am practicing on a couple of Eureka kits, the BushHawk and an RCM 60, the RCM's wings are sheeted and ready to join. I'm cyphering on how to cut a slot for the a dihedral brace that I'll have to make myself.
A Saito .30 for the BushHawk and a new Saito .62-b for the RCM, Sig has Kavan wheels so they're already on the RCM.
I've been using Kavan wheels since way back when Hobby-Lobby sold Merco engines, never had one be wobbly or out of round.

No it's not the fa115 dave and the midget has,or,had a really well built and finished fuse even guys at the club asked if i'd painted it.Flew it a few times at the salt lakes here in summer and parts of the lake are dotted with salt bushes.Went slap thru a couple at full throttle and survived.The mas prop white tips don't hold up well in long grass either.You might have to visit that guy in nz?

But that plane is getting the Saito .82 replaced with a much smoother YS 63 this week end

Gary nice shade of blue on that aeroplane do you have a bigger pic? i like it.A well tuned fa82 is hard to beat,a little bit of vibration as you pass between 2500 to 3500rpm then it's as smooth as a pair of silk knickers.
Jim i measured my cmpro midget mustang cowl across the front.Centre line to outside edge is 4 and a one eighth inches wide,just over 100mm.So your stuffed unless you cut a large hole or split the cowl with a piano hinge.There is a horrible alternative,as capt suggested you could fit it with a,cough,electric MOTOR...yew...i've heard that you can buy fourstroke sound systems for them so i'll donate a recording of the fa115 if you need one what format would you like?

Jim, I checked out the RCV .91 cd and the specs from the crank center line to the top bearing cover is 82mm, it would fit like a glove.

Glad to be back! Bought a beautiful 2nd hand Topflite Spitfire with a old 61 Supertigre. The plane had not flown for 15 years. Immediately bought a new Fa-125 and did my first flights this weekend. Such a great engine! After initial run in the engine ran great immediately.

I do have a pretty good FA-125 that I'm about to resurrect for the fall. One of the first ones to reach the U.S. for $325 back then.

Wag, is that a 14x7 Graupner three blade on the 115, I have several of that series of Graupners, I sometimes run a Graupner 16x8 three blade with .5" cut off of the tjps on my Saito 1.50

Welcome mate and a nice spitty,they look great in the air.Phew!! lucky you got away with that flight buddy.That fa125 would struggle to wind the wheels up let alone fly it,you should have bought an fa115

This 15 x 7 3 blade may be the best for the 125, it will be in stock soon. The 14 x 9 is in stock. The hole is on the CG.
I would try a 14x9 three blade or 15x8 three blade, the 14x9 would be a Master Airscrew and a Graupner if you can get it for the 15x8.

Yeh you got me there.For a long time now arf's have been designed for fourstroke engine weights,bearing in mind that you need a larger fourstroke than the recommended two stroke.Do you have enough ground clearance to run a two blade?
