Capt. who are you and where you been?
^LOL^ it's good to see you hear, back yapping with us again! we missed you.
BTW, thanks to Lonnie I got another FA91 cylinder for the engine you gave me. and I tell you it's one fine cylinder with low run time. it will be the first engine I run this year.
as for the cylinder that was on the engine, I found that the valve seat was not in-line with the guide. I found that the larger100 valve has the same length stem. so I started to make a new seat with a 100 valve and seating compound. it worked out well, but the guide alinement was so far off the new seat opened up into the port. BUT I do believe if I had a 91 cylinder that has a good guide/seat alinement it will be possible to make a new seat for the larger 100 valve. I would love to try that.
yes yes I am in a great mood. Popa has a new grandbaby girl just 2 weeks old. and I got to see her today.
any hoo. it's great to see you reply. I hope all is well for you!

Ah-ha, that old "A bird in the hand" adage!
Is a 20 year old scratch built Hornet hanging ffom the ceiling worth two unbuilt kits in the boxes?
Get er built before the tyrant outlaws them!

The tiny little servo has 18.3 oz. in. of torque 6.6 volts, it operates the Saito 125 throttle as if it were nothing. You have to listen really closely to hear them, I like that. The phone just doesn't do good close up work.
The throttle, elevator and rudder all all set up programmed into the green radio.

Thanks, I'll have to get a bright light to check that as a lot of the carb barrel travel is wasted as it goes way beyond where the throttle is fully closed. I'll scope it out though.
PS, I made an adapter to move the throttle arm outward so the throttle rod would not conflict with the fuel tank.

Thanks Flyer.
Somehow most of my post didn't get here, the throttle arm movement for open 1/32" to fully open is 7/8", I'm sorry, the camera didn't catch that either.
The tiny brass wire, "gauge" is 1/32" for the idle point.
The travel to fully open 7/8"
Lots of pretty lights on the new JR equipment when everything is right.

With that long arm on it moves the throttle the required 7/8" as if it were made for it. Although it could very turn out that the 1/32" I used as a guess on the idle opening may well end up being about 1/16". It moves the throttle from full stop closed to full stop open quite easily.
Actually they aren't agressive as you might think. IIRC, their venom is about the same as a regular honeybee

Same Buddy. The saito on that build has well over a hunnerd flights on it now in my care.. literally never touched the needle extension rod since Brian's maiden he put unnoticeable thru the one peice balsa cowl. Always my fuel mix. Any weather any time. I have replaces every servo. None twice.

Lonnie, I may be able to fix you up, I have two pushrods that are 61.7? mm long, the camera angle created an optical illusion.

When you get the right combination of lifters and pushrods let me know the length of the lifters and I'll send any that match..
