RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !
the exhaust valve rocker arm was obviously over gapped upon removing the cover. after 3 four stroke guys took a look, got the gap back down to .0002-.0003 the piston was clicking on the valve during manual rotation. we removed the plug. i am describing this the best that i can (i am not an engine expert). the consensus was that the cam had been removed and reinstalled 1 notch off. 1 guy recommended readjusting it myself, the other 2 guys said saito service was well worth the money. thx in advance, david

adding to the above post. after the valve adj., then the piston was hitting the exhaust valve. seems to be why the gap was so large to begin with. in other words watch what you buy off of the big auction site. david

4 blade propeller for a 125a??
Anyone have a suggestion for a 4 blade prop for the 125a?
I am putting it in a P47 and think the 4 blade would be sweet.
Thx
Micheal

Personally, I would rather see 2 strokes cut in half...

I used to run all 2 strokes, until I got a few 4 strokes, and now I doubt I'll buy any more 2 strokes - unless they're 1/2A. Now, if there were 1/2A 4 strokes...

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !
Gentelmen,
I am not a member of Club Saito but use Saito's in just about everything I have...a 91, a 150, a 180, a 100. (I tell you this hoping I can get some advice without having to research the entire thread.) In keeping with the Saito's I like so much, here is my question. I have a 300t (single carb) and want to use it in a 1/3 Balsa USA Cub. The specs call for 50cc and up and the 300t is 50cc...but does the "twin" cut into the amount of power it will provide? Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

Hi Jerry,
welcome to club Saito, don't worry there is no membership fee! The 300T should be fine as the 50cc recommendation is probably pointing in the gas engine direction, and although a twin makes slightly less urge than a single, a glow makes more urge than gas. Unless you want to 3D your Cub I'm sure you'll be fine! Hope you understand what I'm trying to say, I'm not the best at putting thoughts into words.

The cub has a large wing area and light wing loading. They accept a broad range of power plants and normally need much less power than what you would think given the size and weight of the airframe.
The OS FT300 twin has been used in the 1/3 scale Cubs for many years. So the 300 Saito will be a great choice for this plane
