I had a similar situation with a used FA-80 I bought recenly. The cam followers were completely gummed up in the guides, so badly infact that when I turned it over by hand, it had NO compression as the inlet valve was stuck open and their was a horrible scraping feeling coming from the cam cover area.
Pulled it all apart, pushed out the cam followers, lubed it up and the rockers were rockin' nicely again! I thought I had been ripped off and it had a busted cam gear or something. Don't forget to have everything lined up at TDC when you put it back together.
Another possibility... perhaps the rocker adjustment is off? Too tight and it will prevent the valve from closing fully?

I have an FA-100 on a OMP Ultimate and it flys great and sounds awesome. Very easy to start and runs very reliably. I am planning on putting a FA-50 on a Mojo 25 and was looking for suggestions of a good prop for 3d.

Hi !
I have a saito 90 r3 radial engine mounted on a 60 size Corsair, it flies just fine ,but could have needed a little more power.
So my question is ; is it possible to change the cylinders and pistons on this engine to bigger ones?? since the house on it also is used on the 170 r3 ,i thought it maybe could work ,but of course the mounting dimensions of the cylinders have to fit.

I have just completed a GP Super Stearman. Using Saito 150 with Perry Pump and EDR 103 Glow Driver. Engine is coweled and difficult to remove. No muffler pressure as per instructions with the Perry Pump. How can I prime or choke for engine start with no access to carb? Thanks

.72 in a 40 Size World Models Ultimate Bipe
1.20s in a 120 Size VMAR Cap 231
1.20s in a 1/4 Scale World Models Cub
.80 waiting for my next project! Thinking of a Warbird.. maybe a Sopwith Camel or Stearman.. maybe a ME109 or a FW190 even.
Do I gots what it takes?

Building a home for the Saito .30 GK. I am using a 6 oz tank, it should be plenty. I had to scrounge for a mount with longer beams, the stock one was too short. It's an LT 25.

Jim, Thanks, but I have never actually weighed a plane, this would be my 3rd LT 25, I put nose gears on the first two, decided to go with the stock set up on this one. The Saito .30 is the perfect power plant for them. I'll probably run a Bolly 10.5x5 and keep a Graupner 10x5.5 and 10x6 with me. I should weigh them, maybe that will be a new thing for me to check. I need a suitable scale first though.
