Here's a link to the engine at the HH website, in case you need parts...
http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products...rodID=SAIE091S

Here's a link to the manual itself.
http://www.horizonhobby.com/ProdInfo...der_Manual.pdf

Hope that this helps,

Bob

Yeah I did Subby, "Item coming soon" it says there.

Only has a parts listing for 150 AAC, not specificly a 150s.... would they be the same thing?

Language is a universal thing that most of us get wrong according to the linguists who stress out daily on the general populations lack of correctness, the meaning should remain clear tho.Good thing we just rely on numbers then eh?

MD, it might be just as well to get one of the newer cast mufflers, they are quieter and far more durable. Or a TurboHeader which will provide about 240 more rpm in the bargain.

One thing nice about the Turbo Header that is never mentioned, is that in a crash, there is less chance of breaking the exhaust threads out of a cylinder with the Turbo Header.

The Saito straight "all threaded" steel exhaust pipe is also safer than the 15 & 30 degree bend steel pipes but not as good as a Turbo Header.

The Saito 82 is an excellent engine and is not known to have any major problems

Just the usual things should be looked for as far as used engines go

It depends on what type airplane and your style of flying.

People are using a 14-6 for regular flying.

My Midwest Zero 60", 5.8 lbs flies great on APC 12x9, 12x10. I think the engine likes the 12x10 load a little better.

Weez, it won't know whether its upright, sideways or upside down, the only issue is where the fuel tank is in relation to the carb.

Hi all, I am new to Saito engines, flew my first one last week, and loved it. In fact so much so I have a WM 1.60 GS Spit I need and engine for.
I want to put a 200ti up front, the confirguration is ideal for the narrow cowl and the sound will be awsome (I hope).

Can anyone give some advice or pass on your tips for this engine.

Thanks in advance.

Hey ya Guys...

I'm about ready to re assemble my 150 and am wondering if it matters where the gap in the piston ring goes???

and I heat the casing in the oven to what temperature fit the new bearings aye??

Engine cleaning update.... Using a Dishwasher tablet ( with "Powerball" ) in 2 pints of near boiling water cleans the gunk and gum off very well. A wee tip though, Only submerse and let the parts soak for only a quick minute or two otherwise the Alloy casing can go a duller colour. I found dunking for a minute or so and then using wife's toothbrush scrub the yuck off. Oh and I used wife's good pot for the washing too
Then I thoroughly rinsed the parts in hot water and dried off with a dryer.

Cheers Guys, Paul

I know what you mean, being an engineer, reading instruction is admission of defeat.

I hope somebody can help me out with some info on the 200TI, in saying that I am pretty sure Saito don't make a bad engine but it would be nice to know a bit about it before I pay for it.

It doesn't really matter about the ring

use 250-300 F
