Check your local hobby shop, Saito prices have not gone up yet at mine even though they are up everywhere online.

Hey genius, decided to look at some of your post. Do you mean the engine is changing color when you remove the glow?? There is a difference in dyeing and dieing. Oh by the way have you noticed the huge increase in Horizon's ARF price. Maybe that is why the Twist is worth $200. I'll keep checking you since you seem to have an interest in interfereing in my business.

Move your Cline closer. Turn the nipple over so you can mount it up in between the rails and have nipple to nipple. I have run a Cline on my 180 with a 18x6W.
You should test the engine out on a stand to get your base numbers then you can trouble shoot the fuel setup.Take the time to see what a difference the Cline makes from one inch away to right on the nipple and also compare with a properly mounted tank with just muffler pressure.

Can I use the breather nipple that is in the bottom of the cranckcase of a Saito 82 to install a Perry Pump?

Yes

You have to put a Tee in the line. One of the three sides of the tee goes to the breather, another goes to the back of the Perry and the third goes through a restriction or valve to the atmosphere

The oscillating pump certainly works out mighty handy for a Saito. If you do not have a pump yet and you are using a four stroke by all means by the oscillating model

I got this Waco from my son just reciently. Don"t know the ariginal builder. It must be over thirty years old, but still very nice shape. I have a very nice picture that I will post as soon as one of my kids comes over to show me how to do it. It had a OS 90 in it, but now I put the awsome Saito 115 in it. Now I"am in love.

Hi sod yes it is and what a whopper,very nice and may be too big for me,i'd like full span ailerons like the smaller ones because i want to hotrod one.Tired of looking at yaks and extras nice as they are.I want a dcaff that hoots and have three 65" blackhorse/seagull/pheonix kits in the shed.Flown one with the 62 which is adequate,this one has an 82 and maybe a new lightweight 100 for the third.No idea what i'm doing but it's fun.

Hi I have a Saito FA-56 on my Kyosho P-40 which is my first Saito and my second 4S. Been reading a lot from this forums and sure enough it made my way much easier in breaking in my new Saito. Love the performance and the sound, and I know it would get even better as I go over a quart on it. I hope I'm qualified to be a saito club member [sm=regular_smile.gif]

Have you flown that plane with the Saito FA-56 yet? I know a fellow that is selling one with a similar sized engine, and I was wondering if it had enough power...

Hi Mike,
Yes I have flown it around 10 times on my Kyosho P-40 and that size has average power for flying it scale like. Besides it is nose heavy as it is with the FA-56 and I had to put a 25gm weight at the back. Unfortunately I don't have a weighting scale to check how heavy it came out. Maybe I can borrow my friend's bathroom scale and see how it come out with. Oh I am using a 11 x 8 prop and I believe it will be more happy with a 12 x 6.

Very impressive. I presume those planes weigh over 7lbs. Maybe over 8.

Just borrowed my friends bathroom scale and it was coming at 5.9lbs. The manual says the plane weights 5 - 5.5 lbs so including the engine at .9lbs that would make it 6- 6.4lbs.

Could some one please send me a message telling me how many turns to start out on a Saito FA 50. Im trying to get my twist in the air and it keeps dying. Need to get it tuned and have never had a saito before. Thanks
