The flex pipes tend to crack real easy

The flex pipe is more restrictive than you might think. The ribs reduce the sound quite a bit. Often, the engine's performance is reduced as well.

You might want to consider a TurboHeader instead of the flex pipe. I have three of them. They sound great, they are more durable and lighter (I think) than a 90 degree adapter and a flex pipe. You will most likely get a modest performance boost as well! The price of the TH might be a little bit higher than the flex pipe and adapter, but not that much.

Hi just wondering if anyone can rec a prop for a saito 82 on an extra 300. Is 14X6 suitable, just wondering which combo works best. Also are people using wood or APC these days. Thanks

The APC 14-6 is the standard sport prop for the Saito 82

Hello,like any other pipe that is mounted thoughtfully and carefully they mostly don't crack.With the saito flex pipe tho i've noticed some black flakey bits in the fuel tank when i removed it.Are they powder coated,dipped or anodized do you think?

That's great!..can you recommend an australian dealer so all the southern hemisphere readers of this forum can actually buy some of them?

A few cline or ironbay regulaters would not go astray either...is this a similar theme/promotion scheme re elvis never touring outside the states when he was alive

The 45 MKII has a different carb mount than the 45S. You could use a 50 back plate on the 45S

I thought I saw it somewhere but 550+ pages is a lot of info to go through.

Hi, I am plan building a monocoupe 90a model and I am trying to decide what to power it with. Plans say it is .30 to .45 size, but of course I am going to put a saito in it so I was considering something like a saito 56. Lately though I have been looking at the 60 twin which would be kind of neat. If I were to get the 60 twin, what size tank should I think about using?

The 60T has about the power of a 40 single cylinder four stroke. You run a 11-6 or 12-5 prop

Use at least a 8 oz tank.

where do you fly at around Auburn?

I actually am not really flying in auburn anymore I just transfered to a diffrent school. I still make trips to auburn and fly though because they have one of the best feilds around. It is about a 30 to 35 minute drive from downtown auburn going south and turning on I think us 80. they have a little blog websight at: http://www.auburnrc.blogspot.com/ It is a big field with a grass runway and a little pond in the back. The guy that actually owns the field has a full size cessna 180 he flies in and out of that field so the grass is almost always cut down.

me?, I am still in alabama, I have just moved to jacksonville alabama. Its not as good though because there is not a descent flying feild within 45 miles from me, at least not that I know of.

Then it is time to start a new club! BTDT when nothing was available. If I had more energy, I would do that here myself. Driving any more than ten or twelve miles to fly bugs me. I used to drive 35 miles when I joined my first club after the USAF. By the time you got there in the evening after working day shift you were lucky if you had time for more than three flights. And that was hurring all the while and grabbing a hamburger on the drive to the field.

Our local clubs are fantastic and they are populated with super people, so that isn't the reason that I would like a place to fly that is closer. Besides, I would join both of them anyway just for the camaraderie, etc. In NJ we had a program named "Green Acres" which allocated government owned parcels of land to organized/incorporated clubs of all kinds. I haven't been able to find something similar in Georgia as yet. If anyone knows of such a program, I would really appreciate receiving the information. Who knows, the good news just might give me enough energy to get the ball rolling.

Ed, can you give a little more info on the NJ Green acres program?

Still stuck here in Jersey and I'm afraid for quite a while to come.
Fields are almost impossible top find anymore that are less than 35-50 miles away.
