Ryan, I think I do, it may not be very pretty but won't be bent up or damaged in any way. Or, check out the above mentioned TurboHeader. It will give you a couple hundred extra rpm.

I agree. I have enjoyed sharing our hobby globally (no exceptions) since the internet and RCU made it possible. Not one single day passes that I do not look forward to speaking with friends and finding new friends globally that share the same interests as myself.

Gidday hairy and welcome aboard. We fly at sea level here so can't help except to say if it's the usual short nose bipe i'd go for more power and weight.I have two 40 to 56 size 68" decathlons.I have an 82 in the first one and it's a bit tail heavy. The next one will have a 115 which is due in soon.Good luck with your bi-plane.

Good morning Pete, how are things in Upside Down Land? Give us a good check out of the 1.15 when you get a chance to run it. Mine may end up on a Bruce Tharpe Flyin King just so I can fly it.

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !
G'day Saito loving gentlemen.
Well I haven't been flying for a couple of weeks but at the moment I have three Saito powered SIG planes on charge for tomorrow - LT40 with a 56 up front, my faithful Kadet Senior with a second 56 and my AstroHog with its 82. So here's hoping the weather stays fine and calm like it was today.
I have also recently bought a bloke's entire collection and I have kept a Saito 150S for myself after selling most every thing else. It will eventually fine its way into a largish Moth Minor but for the moment it is now in a SIG Extra 330SX. I need to do a bit of running in first then I think I will attempt to commit aviation with it. That will be a real "fingers crossed" moment. Any advice as to what size prop for the 150S in an aerobatic model? And for running in?
Thanks. Mike in Dubbo

Hi dave, pretty good, spent all today flying, you? and a picture of the bt flying king would be good. The 30 is teaching a lot re tuning.I'm creeping up on that as fast as i can.If i get stuck in no-mans land and can't figure out whether i'm slightly rich or lean i pump the 15% out and run 10,it's a quick way for me.Good flying weather over there now summers coming? and you're right,it's our turn to become downunder..winter is coming.
Cheers

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !
G'day Hairy. Yes, once this hobby gets its talons into you - that's it. It got me when I was about 10 and I am nearly 60. I started with control line, moved to RC and still there. Mind you, I have been in and out a few times over the years but I always seem to gravitate back to the models. And the engines. Actually, I have always liked the engines. First it was diesels, then high performance glow and then four strokes. My latest is multi cylinder four strokes.
You are right about the people too. I have met some amazing people through this hobby. I recently discovered that a member of our club who is now in his mid 70s was a member of the first control line club I joined in the early 1960s. He is still flying nearly 50 years later and still has the engines (Fox 35) and at least one model (a Nobler) he had in 1962. Amazing.

That is wonderful! That is a good number of years for anyone to fly! I am somewhat a new old pilot, I ended up raising my four daughters by myself and getting them through school. Once I got them grown I got back into it after over thirty years but I never soloed back then! The gentelman that taught me to fly was 75 years old and had been flying some kind of model for over 50 years, What a great teacher he was to me! been doing the two strokes for awhile and have moved up to a couple Saito's the 100 I am putting into a hangar 9 Spitfire and the 150 not sure yet! I need another 100 for a hangar 9 sopwith camel. So for sure had to join this to learn more about them! But this old dog learned a new trick and am loving it! This is the cake, its the people I have meet that iced it! War-birds over the Rockies this year will be better because I will be flying at it this year rather then sitting in the stand wishing I was! Take care Mike! Bob

Thank you! Yes I will enjoy the plane more now that am getting the info I need to power it! My three favoite planes growing up was the Sopwith Camel, Spitfire, and the P-47 and I have two of them still looking for the right P-47. I'm the new guy but loving it! I fly farely well but some of you guys put me to shame! But dirty little secret I love watching you do it! Take care and again thank you for the advice, it went in one ear and stayed! Thanks Bob
Have a great day! I know i'm going too!

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !
Hi,
I've 5 Saitos now, did have 6 but my 125, in a Sukoi 26, was totalled along with the plane last year![sm=cry_smile.gif
Living in New Zealand means most spares etc is sourced via the net. Saito only seem to do set manifolds ie 15 degree but some planes really want a 110 or something out of the norm. Manifacturers like Just Engines in UK do a range for the dreaded OS but only 90 degree for Saito. I am sure I found a manufacturer in USA that did a range but forgot to add them to my favourites[sm=red_smile.gif]
Can any of you guys give me a steer in the right direction??
Many thanks,
Phil

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !
Hi again!
Seems I did something wrong as not all my message came through -sorry.[sm=red_smile.gif]
Cutting out what I think got it deleted my question was about finding a manifold manufacturer that did say 110 degree manifolds for Saitos.
I found one, in the USA, whilst surfing who did a whole range of them but stupidly forgot to add to my Favourites.
As said before can anybody give me a steer in the right direction.
Thanks,
Phil

Whoops. You said USA. Sorry.
These guys ship to America and from what I have read they are a good company to deal with.

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !
Phil, you could also use this combo of TurboHeader and 90 degree adapter from RCSpecialties to point the exhaust any direction you want and lose some weight plus gain a couple of hundred rpm on most Saito engines.
