Thinking I might try some ATF for afterrun oil in my Saito, I looked at a bunch of it in the auto parts store. Dexron III, right, Bill and others? Any particular brand or price range? There was quite a variance.

Right. Dexron III.

In order for it to be labeled "Dexron III" it has to pass the API certification. So, the least expensive brand labeled "Dexron III" is the best buy.

In effect, all of them come out of the same barrel, then get different brand names on the bottle.

Lee, I have that same set of HF pullers. If you have not checked them yet, the arms can be flipped. They in essence, have two seperate lengths that can be used.

very heavy mount, and the saito 82 is a very narrow motor, the 60-120 has to be almost as narrow as it will go for the 82

I think that W8YE's point was that the GP adjustable mount, reguardless of size, is a simple and mechanic proof mount.

I'll hold judgement on the mechanic proof-ness untill I've had a chance to use mine.

were does the mixture screw end up about on a saito 72 im at 1 1/4 but think im still rich haven a hard time with the tach . its reading up and down new to 4 strokes thanks for any help edit to ask the tach i have is a clobee is this a good one ?

The HS at 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 is in the ball park for an FA-72, but on what is usually the lean end of its range. Set the HS ONLY at full throttle, and do not change it trying to adjust the mix at lower settings. The LS is the main control up to about 1/2 throttle, and still affects the mixture as far up as 3/4 throttle.

With the HS set adjust the LS for a good transition, then keep leaning it a little at a time until the engine stumbles a bit on opening the throttle. When you get to this point open it a very little at at a time until the tumble goes away. All should then be fine.

The old "Quick and Dirty" mixture check is to pinch the fuel hoe, when the settings are right the engine should pick up a little rpm before falling off.

This is my first Saito... Dumb question... Whats the nipple on the bottom of the engine for?

That is the drain for the oil. Connect fuel line to it so it will run out of the plane..
