I agree with Wy8e...

A 180 will turn a 18x6 ok but not a 150... My 150 would turn a 17x6 but only in the low 8K range. It ran much better 16.5x5 16x8 prop..

Thanks for the feedback...! I will just put it back in operation and stay with the APC prop.

What RPM would you expect a 180 to get with the Xoar 17x6?

lenough,

I have one that requires no tricks at all... Replace it with a slimline..... If that doesn't work teflon tape seems to work well with the stock muffler. I would suggest that you...

Slimline makes a nice one..

You can get them from Chief Aircraft for about 60 bucks for a side mount... You do need to plug one pipe to keep the pressure up for the tank if you are using...

Thanks that is the next step in the process. I still have to order a Manifold, Needle Valve and Velocity statck just to correct the know problems. Plus a muffler...

Good Day!!!!!

I just scored two nearly new Saito's! An early 120 that doesn't look as if it has ever been run.... And a never started 180!!!! The only thing on the 180 has some dry rusty...

I have a 1.50 turning a 17x6 Xoar at 9000, well leaned... I have a 16oz tank and get 10 minute plus flights with IMAC style routines and still have 2 to 4 oz's of fuel leftover... ...
